Medley of Fruits


I add a pinch of salt, one tbsp of honey, lemon juice (one lemon), and some fresh juice from oranges.  Gogi Berries are a superfood you could also add.

Sangrias



Certainly not the best photos.  And the Sangrias themselves were not exactly fabulous.  Nonetheless, it was a pretty good first time.  We used peaches and blackberries, and followed one of these recipes.

I have started a nine-day vegetarian diet to remember my father, who died earlier this year.  Although I always tried to observe this practice during the annual Bangkok Vegetarian Festival, my dad was even more committed to adhering to it.

Shrimp with Garlic Chives

I grab garlic chives at one of the Asian markets in Asheville.  This dish, like most stir-fries in Thailand, is best eaten on rice.  Each person would have a bowl of rice, then put some of the stir-fry on top.

Raspberry Beret Champagne Cake

We have been trying more and more charcuterie boards at various wine bars and cocktail lounges in Asheville.  They also are served up at my brother-in-law's, when we go over there.  The other day we bought a board at Bed, Bath & Beyond, and I have started created my own.  This was my first attempt.
